BTS in Seoul: ARMY's Guide to the ARIRANG Tour and the Places That Made Them

The ARIRANG tour is the biggest BTS event of 2026 — but there is no Seoul show left in 2026. Here is what is actually happening, the December dates in Asia, and the real ARMY pilgrimage in Seoul.

Read this first if you are coming to Seoul for BTS: the ARIRANG world tour is real, huge, and still running — but the Seoul shows already happened. Five sold-out nights at the KSPO Dome in July and August 2026 are over, and there is no Seoul date in November or December 2026. What December does hold is the tour's Southeast Asia leg, and Seoul itself is still the pilgrimage: the HYBE building, the BT21 stores, the comeback concert square, and the famous bus stop a day trip away. This guide gives you the real dates, the real places, and the traps to avoid.

1. The ARIRANG tour: what is actually happening

BTS opened their sixth concert tour, WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG', on April 9, 2026, with three nights at Goyang Stadium — their first tour as a full seven-member group since completing mandatory military service, and the largest they have ever staged: more than 80 shows in 34 cities across 23 countries, running into March 2027. The tour is named after ARIRANG, their fifth studio album, released March 20, 2026. The album debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200, and on November 2, 2026 it earned a platinum certification in Italy — the first K-pop act ever to do so.

The remaining Asia dates, all confirmed: Kaohsiung, Taiwan (November 19, 21, 22); Bangkok, Thailand (December 3, 5, 6); Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (December 12, 13); Singapore (December 17, 19, 20, 22); Jakarta, Indonesia (December 26, 27). In 2027 the tour continues to Melbourne (February 12, 13), Sydney (February 20, 21), Hong Kong (March 4–7) and ends in Manila (March 13–14). Tickets are sold through Weverse and Ticketmaster in most markets; in Korea, NOL World (world.nol.com, formerly Interpark) accepts foreign cards. Buy only from these official sellers — resale and look-alike sites are the most common way fans lose money.

Seoul's own chapter is already history: five sold-out shows at the KSPO Dome on July 25, 26 and 29 and August 1 and 2, 2026, plus the free comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square on March 21, 2026, whose stage was built like a traditional Korean pavilion, referencing the Gyeonghoeru at Gyeongbokgung Palace. If a "December Seoul BTS concert" is advertised to you, check it against the official channels — it is not on the tour schedule.

2. The honest truth about HYBE Insight: it is closed

Half the BTS guides on the internet still send you to the HYBE Insight museum in Yongsan. Do not go expecting a museum: HYBE Insight closed permanently on January 15, 2023, and has not reopened. What exists at the HYBE headquarters on Hangang-daero is the building itself and Weverse Square, the fan plaza outside the main entrance — free, public, and the right place for photos. The ground-floor lobby sometimes opens as a pop-up tied to an artist's release (it opened with BTS Pop-up: Arirang in March 2026); entry runs on advance Weverse reservations, so check Weverse before you build your day around it. The building is about 600 meters from SinYongsan Station.

3. The ARMY pilgrimage in Seoul that actually exists

4. The day trip every ARMY asks about: the BTS bus stop

The seaside bus stop on the cover of the You Never Walk Alone album ("Spring Day") is not in Seoul — it is at Jumunjin Beach in Gangneung, on the east coast. The original was removed and a replica installed after fans kept coming. Getting there: KTX from Seoul to Gangneung Station (about 2 hours), then local bus #300 toward Jumunjin Beach (about 1 hour) and a short 300-meter walk. The address is 8-55 Hyangho-ri, Jumunjin-eup, Gangneung-si. Plan a full day: the same beach is the Goblin filming location, and BTS-themed day tours run from Seoul (Hongdae pickup, 10–12 hours) if you would rather not plan the connections yourself. In winter, dress far warmer than you think — the east coast wind is brutal.

5. Catching the tour from Seoul

No Seoul date does not mean no concert. Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Jakarta are all short flights from Incheon, and many ARMY plan exactly that: Seoul for the pilgrimage, then a hop to the nearest tour stop. If flying out is not possible, cinemas run official live viewings of selected tour dates (Kaohsiung and Jakarta have official live-viewing screenings) — check local cinema listings in Seoul. Bring the ARMY Bomb light stick if you own one; check the venue's bag and banner rules before you go, and plan your return: Seoul's subway winds down around midnight, so a late concert needs a taxi or a nearby hotel booked in advance.

6. Before you fly: the practical half

Checklist for an ARMY trip

Seoul in December 2026 has no BTS concert — and that is exactly why this guide exists. Come for the pilgrimage, fly out for the show, and do not let a closed museum or a fake listing eat your trip.

Sources checked November 7, 2026: BigHit Music / Weverse tour announcements; Aju Press (FIMI platinum, November 4, 2026); tour trackers for the Asia-leg dates; 2026 Seoul guides confirming HYBE Insight's permanent closure (January 15, 2023) and the two remaining BT21 stores. Dates and venues can change — verify on Weverse before booking.
